It seem’s after a tough market fight with Samsung company, now Micromax becomes the leading mobile phone supplier brand in India for second quarter of 2014.
According to the report by technology market research firm Counterpoint Research, it says that in India, Micromax have 16.6 percent share of mobile market, followed by Samsung with 14.4 percent market share.
However, in smartphone segment, Samsung company is leading with a 25.3 percent market share, while Micromax has only 19 percent market share.
The report also indicates, “the smartphone segment have grew to 68 percent annually in Q2 2014 in India. But Indian brands captured more than two-thirds of the total mobile phone and more than half of the smartphone demand.
For the first time Micromax became the leading feature phone supplier who overtake Nokia for first time in such a short span. According to the report, Motorola was ranked fourth in number of smartphone market with a share of 4.3 percent. Motorola has claimed to sell 1 million Moto devices in India.
